DDOS Attack

It is a form of attack and stands for Distributed Denial-of-Service which makes machines or networks unresponsive or unavailable to its intended users. This type of attack was common when Silk Road 1.0 (DNM) was around, and some say it was used to locate the servers by finding known TOR vulnerabilities. You can visit the Wikipedia page for more detailed explanation.
