Encryption

This is the process of scrambling your secret information, which makes it impossible for other parties to decipher and read the contents of your message. This can take two forms, one is symmetric encryption, which makes use of a shared secret that both the sender and the receiver should be aware of in advance, and the second is public key cryptography, where the key used to encrypt the information is different from the key that is used to decrypt the information at the receiver's end.
