What Happens When a PM Tries AI Coding

Can a Product Manager build an enterprise feature with zero code? I decided to find out. I’m no longer a developer, but I successfully extended an enterprise-grade product with a new functionality. How? With help from Cursor and Claude AI.Was it as simple as the 'no-code' hype suggests? Not even close. It was a rollercoaster of AI magic (visual debugging with error screenshots feels like wizardry!) and humbling reality checks. My initial 'ugly' code eventually painted me into a corner that required a real, human engineer to rescue. The lesson? AI is powerful but creates a dangerous illusion of 'zero-friction.' Lack of understanding in massive systems is risky, and the cognitive overload for PMs is real.
