Alone With the Unknown in Borneo

An assistant astronomer working alone in a remote Borneo observatory is suddenly attacked by a large, bat-like creature that crashes through the dome. In total darkness, he fights for his life using broken glass, managing to wound and drive it away. He survives the night injured and shaken, leaving behind a mystery about the unknown creature lurking in the jungle.
