Why Multi-Tab Browser Apps Quietly DDoS Their Own Backends
Real-time apps duplicate connections in browsers not because of the transport, but because each tab and each app independently owns its own. To stabilise it, you need a single owner of the connection per browser, a clear message protocol between that owner and the consuming contexts, and coordinated handling of shared events like auth refresh and reconnect.
