A 90-day analysis of 170M residential proxy IPs shows why fraud detection is failing: 60% of IPs appear only once and rotate faster than reputation systems can track, while 46% are shared across multiple providers. IPv6 churn is extreme (87% single-use). Blocking by provider or relying on historical abuse data no longer works—real-time, context-driven detection is now essential.
