EU Slams Meta and TikTok Over Data Transparency Breaches Under the Digital Services Act
The European Commission has preliminarily found that Meta and TikTok violated the EU’s Digital Services Act by failing to provide researchers with adequate access to public data. Both companies deny wrongdoing, but if confirmed, the violations could result in fines of up to 6% of their annual global revenue.
