The Dark web provides the users with golden opportunities of conducting all sorts of the illegal activities. One of the most common illegal activities that have been frequently reported is the trading of drugs in the Dream market. A former employee of the Postal Service, the 32 year old Cory Skinner of Pikesville in Maryland was arrested and found guilty of trading drugs bought from the Dream market. The drugs contained opioids, heroin and cocaine.
Initially no one was aware of the fact that he is involved in the trafficking of the drugs from the Dream market. As per the information released in the press release of the Department of Justice, the fact of the Cory Skinner came in to notice when the law enforcement workforce were conducting investigations on the death of a police officer from the University of Arkansas. While the investigations were still on, they tripped over an open priority mail package having shipped from Baltimore. On further investigation, it was found that the packages were kept to ship in Arizona and North Carolina. The owner was questioned and seized 2.8 grams of heroin bought from the Darknet market from a vendor named DoggFood.
The packages that were seized were all scanned and matched with Cory Skinner. The result came out to be positive and it was found out that he was trafficking drugs in small quantities from the beginning of the last quarter of 2017 to January 2018. Various things were found at his place that could be used as proof against him like a laptop, over $6000 USD in hard cash, weighing scale, firearms, stamps and postal addresses. It has also been revealed that those associated with the Darknet market activities are under close watch.
