Dream Market and Wall Street Market Vendor Porras Sentenced To 5 Years And 10 Months in Prison


A judge in a California has sentenced Jose Robert Porras to five years and 10 months in federal prison for distributing a banned substances and illegally possession of firearms. The accused according to Northern California Illicit Digital Economy task Force (NCIDE) was investigated in 2018 and identified as vendor in Hansa Market, Wall Street Market and Dream, Market. He has pleaded guilty for distribution of banned substance along with the charges of possession of firearm. Porras and his co defendant Pasia Vue originally faced a much harsher imprisonment charges but the grand jury of Eastern District of California returned a 16 count indictment charges. The charges that were leveled against both of them included substance distribution charges, money laundering charges, money laundering conspiracy charges and other illegal firearm charge.

In the plea agreement Porras agreed that if he went to the judge and the case tried in a federal court the United States could prove that he had been selling marijuana and Xanav on Wall Street and Dream market. He started his operation of distribution of banned substances in early 2017 which continued till his arrest in early 2018. According to the statement made by him he admitted of distributing 53 kilograms of marijuana through his vendor account on Dream market. He also admitted that he had in his possession an Uzi-style pistol, a MAK 90 and an S&W .44 revolvers. The name of the account that he created on the Dream market was called Canna_Bars and the name of the account on the Wall Street market is called The Fast Plug.

The law Enforcement operation that led to the arrest of Porras and his co defendant was part of an operation named Dark Gold according to the press release by the Department of Justice. It was an operation that included cooperation from different law enforcement and was aimed to capture dark web vendor across the country. The operation has resulted in the seizure of more than $35 million dollars in cash and Cryptocurrencies.
