The Dark Web: Nightmare Market under Serious Trouble

Darknet markets are well known for the illicit trade of various goods and services that includes drugs as well. But Nightmare Market is not one of them as it clearly prohibits the creating of listings of fentanyl using the deep web links or fentanyl analogues or requiring buyers to finalize early without permission from the Nightmare Market. But lately, the Nightmare Market has reported a surge in the number of vendors engaging in activities prohibited by the market. In order to increase the safety of their customers, the Nightmare Market has decided to ban the vendors selling fentanyl and giving another warning to the vendors in violation of the other rules belonging to the market. Sometimes the vendors’ list fentanyl or the fentanyl analogue “blends” where the blends are often regarded as the banned substance mixed with an inert compound such as mannitol or a similar cutting agent.

There have been past incidences when the markets had banned the listings of fentanyl productions. In 2018, darknet markets such as Dream market and Darknet Heroes League have hit the headlines for banning the sale of fentanyl. The Darknet Heroes League gave the users a 48-hour warning in order to remove fentanyl and fentanyl-related listings before stripping the account of the vendor status. Nightmare Market has always prohibited the sale of the fentanyl products where the vendors have violated the rule and are unknowingly listing the banned products.

The vendors that were caught selling fentanyl are banned immediately. As per the market, this rule has been enforced for the safety of market users. The restrictions that surround the ability of the vendor to bypass the market’s escrow system are also in place to protect customers. Vendors with the FE privileges can list a “great deal” with great ease having no intention of filling orders. Once caught, the vendor can simply vanish in no time. Nightmare Market does allow the established vendors to request the privilege in the bid to ask customers to finalize early. A vendor must have a 4.9 or higher rating and 500 or more transactions in order to do so.

Other markets also have a similar set of requirements for FE approval. Some of those markets have also been accused of rejecting FE applications unless other unknown factors are met. By far, this does not seem to be a problem for vendors on Nightmare Market. Once a vendor meets those requirements, the market will approve their application. It’s that simple a process. On the contrary, vendors asking a buyer to finalize early without permission from the market, receive one warning before the market permanently bans the vendor which means that the vendor is given enough time to be on track. The fentanyl ban is not something that should surprise the vendor as the rules for vending very clearly forbids the unsanctioned FE requests.

Banning fentanyl vendors is one of the top priorities right now for the Nightmare Market. As developers work on other parts of the marketplace, the market’s staff is actively investigating wretch vendors.
