Dread Forum had been under a denial of service attack (DOS) that rendered the service out of operation. It was stated that there had been no fix for the attack in the mainstream Tor builds although the latest alpha builds included the potential solutions. All of these were confirmed by HugBunter through a message.
Another post has been put up on the /r/DreadAlert subreddit, where HugBunter has announced that the users could access Dread Forum once again after several days of downtime that was really awful. The developer has also explained that his protections had successfully dampened the impact of the ongoing DOS attacks against his server. He has also pointed out in the message on Reddit that Dread Forum never needed a rotating mirror system.
HugBunter has also mentioned that another exploit could surface soon and bring the Dread Forum back down. Although Dread Forum has been working for hours without issue, it could go back down at any moment. Also, find the .onion links for the Dread Forum here: http://dreadditevelidot.onion.
