Darknet Kidnapping: Washington Doctor Charged For Availing A Hitman

A Washington State doctor has been put behind bars owing to darknet kidnapping alongside hiring a hitman from the dark web. He was prepared for a vengeful plot where he attempted to injure an ex-employee and abduct and extort his alienated wife. The news reporters said.

The accused, identified as Dr. Ronald llg, a Spokane neonatologist, had been put for allegations contained in the federal court papers. The allegations included – a polyamorous relationship, chilling text messages, bitcoin (BTC) payments, darknet kidnapping and a suicide attempt.

“I fucked it up. Irreparable fuck up,” Ilg allegedly confessed in the note authorities discovered when they found him unconscious from an apparent Xanax overdose, which he survived.

The vindictive story started with the journalists from an anonymous news organization. He had also unveiled an alleged hitman-for-hire plot in a different state. He investigated the seamiest and the most anonymous corners of the darknet.

The criminal complaint stated that the reporters had discovered disturbing communications from the accused. Ronald had contacted one of his targets which then sought help from the authorities. Currently, the accused is behind bars and charged with the attempted darknet kidnapping

It seems that before his arrest, Ronald’s life was disturbed. The Spokesman-Review had first reported that the accused had lately filed a lawsuit where he claimed he had been wrongly forced out of his medical practice over the harassment claims by an ex-employee. He had also been going through a divorce and custody process.

Back in February, Ronald had allegedly used the alias Scar215 on the dark web for attempting to hire an individual to attack the ex-employee. He had deposited nearly $2,000 in an escrow account.

“The target should be given a significant beating that is obvious. It should injure both hands significantly or break the hands,” the message read.

It is yet unclear from the court documents if the accused had found someone for taking his offer. However, it is well known that the murder-for-hire schemes on the dark web are mostly scams. The feds say that the accused had again returned to it for dealing with a fresh target, his would-be ex-wife.

Later his about to be ex-wife had told the FBI that she had married the accused back in 2016 and also had a baby together two years later. The accused doctor had then met a woman online and had “invited her to the relationship.” The complaint says that the wife had become too uncomfortable with the relationship and had sought to end the marriage.

In the Arch and April of 2021, the complaint had alleged that the accused placed Bitcoin (BTC) in the escrow and had attempted to hire a hitman for carrying out a completely insane plan for making his wife back off from the divorce plans and then return home.

“I need a rush job for next week. I need the target kidnapped for five to seven days. While being held she is given at least daily doses of heroin. She is also strongly persuaded to do a few things within two weeks,” he allegedly wrote, using the moniker Scar215.

“1, stop ALL Court proceedings, 2, return to your husband and the chaos you created, 3. Tell absolutely no one about this. Also, the team should plant heroin and use needles with her DNA inside. After about seven days she returned to her home,” the message continued.

In a different message, Scar215 had added: “She should be told that her family’s health, including her father and her kids, depend on her completing these rules. It would be unfortunate if her older boy became addicted to heroin. Or her dad be severely beaten or her dog be slaughtered. Any and all persuasion should be used.”

Scar215 had also had an additional plan that involved darknet kidnapping. In this plan, the kidnapper would receive special payment for getting his wife to do specific things. This includes a sexual contract where she would have sex three times a week.

“She is strong for a woman. And she is stubborn and will need lots of persuasion,” he wrote.

Ronald had allegedly devised an alibi for the proposed darknet kidnapping: He had travelled with the other woman to Mexico in a threesome who had been identified in the court papers as “Witness #1.”

Two months following this, the girlfriend had tried to warn the wife that the accused had been trying to hire someone from the darknet for hurting her. She had also sent the target a conversation “in a text message” she had with him and had also sent a text to the wife while they were in Mexico.

“Some strange stuff has happened while we have been here,” she wrote. “I need to talk to you ASAP when we get back.”

When Ronald and his girlfriend had returned to the U.S. on the 11th of April, 2021, the FBI was waiting to question him.

As per the complaint, the doctor admitted that he had used a Tracfone to contact an assassin on the dark web. He had claimed that his girlfriend had tossed the phone into the Mexican swimming pool after she had suspected the accused of using the phone to converse with the other women.

The FBI had mentioned that the accused had claimed that he had been hiring the hitman for killing him. His part of the story notes that he had wanted to commit suicide but give it a shape of an accident so that the girlfriend could inherit his assets. However, he had admitted that he had not altered the will or the life insurance so that she could collect.

The same day, the FBI had also searched the accused’s residence and discovered a locked safe that required the doctor’s fingerprint to open. The safe had a sticky note bearing the username Scar215 and a password that helped the agents log in to his dark web account and access his messages.

On the 13th of April 2021, Eric Barker, a Special Agent, wrote: “He was alerted by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office that Ilg attempted to kill himself.”

As per the Barker’s affidavit, a deputy had received a call for a possible assault at Ilg’s residence and arrived to spot him “with a black eye, lying unconscious on the kitchen floor.” They had also found a medication sheet indicating “that there were approximately 46 missing pills of Xanax.”

The deputy had also found a note from the accused lying next to Barker’s business card. It had contained a message to his girlfriend that read –

“I love you with everything I have. I’m sorry. Please remember the good. I loved no other more than you.”

He had written another message dedicated to his wife where he mentioned to have blamed her initially for not returning his love. To this, he had added –

“You have a big heart that I destroyed.”

Dr. Ronald llg, who had most recently been engaged in a non-profit nursery for the babies born dependent on the drugs, has yet not appeared in the court, and the court docket also did not mention the defense attorney’s name.
