Bitmain & Canaan Announces the Sale of Second Generation Miners


On 29th of March, 2019, two of the largest mining rig manufacturers of all times, Bitmain Technologies and Canaan Creative have announced the sale of their upgraded next generation devices known as the miners that is believed to possess SHA256 algorithm. Both the reputed firms have geared up for the sale of their new products this season as a lot of mining operations are on list that is meant to prep-up the newest facilities in order to take advantage from the wet season in China.

An interesting new that has been circulated amongst the Bitcoin miners is that they will be able to get their hands on the latest rigs that are planned to be sold out by some of the leading manufacturers of the industry. The Antminer series which is the prime focus for all the Bitcoin miners out there is on sale and the rig manufacturing giants Bitmain and Canaan have announced a sale date so that the miners can purchase their favourite device from the Antminer series that is comprised of Antminer S17, Antminer S17 Pro and Antminer T17. The rigs will be made available for the miners on 9th of April that additionallt contains the new and improved second generation 7nm ASIC BM1397 mining chips.

Bitmain’s product manager of the Antminer series, Yangxin stated that the new miner offers an extensive improvement in the hashrate in terms of space and power. The latest BM1397 mining chips that will be available with the Antminer devices that are made just for the miners are made using the TSMC’s 7 nm Finfet Process and claims to provide 28.6 percent of more efficiency to the miners than the previously 7nm equipped model that used BM1391. Tangxin also mentioned that the future of the Sha-256 miners will go beyond the 7nm scope due to its mega-efficiency.
